The earliest info I can find on Amuse is an article for October 1981. It states that Amuse along with Cuba Dares, The Sussed & Belfast Band Big Self will be play two concerts at St Louis High School in Rathmines 30-31/10/1981 and the another two concerts in November at The Christian Brother De La Salle school in Churchtown. At this time I can only assume that Declan Jones played two sets one with Amuse then a second with The Sussed.

Clarke, Long & O’Neill were all also in the Cretins. I’m not sure of the timelines on these bands so I don’t which came first. They may even have been running side by side.
David Long would go on to have a successful career in Backwards In to Paradise.
The other 3 members Shane, Declan & David would all later join up in Blue in Heaven.
