U2-3 London Club Tour 1979 & Irish Dates 1st – 11th January 1980

U2 play a brief 13 date tour of the London Club scene called U2-3. The date at Brunel University with The Photo’s is cancelled. An extra date with Doll By Doll at The Venue in Victoria is quickly added. These are U2’s first concerts in the UK. Most of the venues U2 play had their hay day back in the early 70’s when the London Pub Rock scene was in full swing. U2 return to Dublin to play to a sell out crowd at the Dandelion Market in Dublin. Approximately 200 people attend, more than double the normal crowd at the Dandelion Market. This will be their last appearance at the Market. U2 will also return to the Community Centre, Howth (also the last time U2 appear in Howth) & the Downtown Kampus, Cork. Both venues helped build U2’s reputation during 1979.
