12/12/1979 U2-3 London Club Tour December 1979 & Irish dates January 1980

U2 play a brief 13 date tour of the London Club scene called U2-3. The date at Brunel University with The Photo’s is cancelled. An extra date with Doll By Doll at The Venue in Victoria is quickly added. These are U2’s first concerts in the England. Most of the venues U2 play had their hay day back in the early 70’s when the London Pub Rock scene was in full swing.

U2 are listed as the “U2’s” in promotional items for this concert.

This concert was cancelled after Wendy Wu the lead singer with the Photo’s goes down with a sore throat. The Photo’s were an English New Wave band in the late 70’s and early 80’s.

U2 would go on to support the Photo’s at London’s famous Marquee Club in London as part of their “Boy Tour”
