A Splash Of Red appeared on the compilation album “Snapshots” released by Owl Records & Snap Records jointly (SN901) in 1987. It was very successful at the time on radio – both local and national. Each artist on the album supplied two tracks. Also on the album were Missing Link, Soft Music Company, O.T.T., Brainchild, Rex & Dino, Pink Hurts. All the tracks were taken from demo tapes by Pete McCluskey & Eddie Joyce, Pete & Eddie would go on to from Danceline Records. Pete McCluskey started his musical career playing his famous Flying V with the Navan Road band The Strougers. They famously played with U2 at The Danelion Market & The Howth Community Centre.
