Rex & Dino’s main song writers were Ellen Leahy and Dermot Lambert, both had formerly been in Empty Shell. Dermot and Brian would later be in Blink.

Rex & Dino appeared on the compilation album “Snap Shots” released by Owl Records (SN901) in 1987. Each artist on the album supplied two tracks. Also on the album were Missing Link, Soft Music Company, O.T.T., Brainchild, A Splash Of Red, Pink Hurts. All the tracks were taken from demo tapes by Pete McCluskey & Eddie Joyce, Pete & Eddie would go on to from Danceline Records. Pete McCluskey started his musical career playing his famous Flying V with the Navan Road band The Strougers. They famously played with U2 at The Danelion Market & The Howth Community Centre.

Busy Sleeping (1989) band was described as having a sound comparable to A Flock of Seagulls, with influences from Human League and Heaven 17. Dermot Lambert and Ellen Leahy later formed Blink.
