New Career were a early 80’s post punk band formed by Bart Cronin & Damian Corless. Denis Rusk & Martin Greene had previously been in The Citizens. Martin switched from guitar to keyboards. Denis had also been in the Strougers.

New Career regularly played the Judge & Jury pub in Dublin.

Judge and Jury

Denis Rusk would go on to play with the likes of Cuba Dares and Venetian Blonde. Martin Greene would later form Montage with Emmett O’Reilly in 1982. Emmett had been a former band mate of Martin’s in The Citizens.

Paul Angle Single

Paul Angle would later release a solo single. Both Denis and Damian played on the track.
7″ The “A” side, Drum Dance, has Denis and Damian playing bass & guitar. There are only two lines of lyrics on the entire track. “You know what they’re sayin” & ‘Cos everyone’s sayin”.
The “B” Lady Leslie” side has different musicians playing for a completely different sound. The single is released in London with a video to accompany it. The Dublin “Evening Press describes “Lady Leslie” the better of the two tracks.
