From Late June 1980 until mid August ’80 the band had a Sunday afternoon residency at Toners in Dublin. From August to mid October they shared a residency at the Magnet Bar with The Frames. They also played gigs at the Crofton Airport Hotel and Blackrock Park.
Pop Mencanics
Pat Dunne, Brian Coleman & Lester Dorman would all later be in the more successful Pop Mecanics. They released a single “Soldier Boy” which reached number 19 in the Irish charts. Pat would also later be in the Flash Harry’s.
Slane Recording Studio
The Double Agents recorded at least one three track demo tape between 18th & 19th July 1980. The tracks “There Was A Party”, “Witness, Judge & Jury” & Leave Me Alone. The Tracks were all band originals and engineered by John Dee. Many thanks to Pat James for supplying the tape.
