Formed late in 1983 by 4 members of the Rhythm Kings (Martin Meagher, Phil Byrne, Dave Moloney & Ritchie Taylor) and former Pop Mecanics lead man Pat Dunne. The bands first gig was 21/10/1983 at Dublin’s Baggot Inn.
4/5th’s of the band had been on the Dublin “Punk/New Wave scene since 1977. They read like a who’s who of Dublin’s music. Phil was the singer with Revolver, Dave Moloney was the drummer with The Vipers and for a short while with the Boomtown Rats. Martin & Ritchie were both in the Gravediggers.

Cover versions

The bands set will consist of 60’s & 70’scover versions which would quite a change from the 50’s cover versions they played with the Rhythm Kings. They cover the likes of Sea Cruise, Last Train To Clarkesville, Reach Out by the 4 Tops & Gary Glitter & Mott The Hoople, the songs are played at break nock speed. Shortly after their formation the band embarked on a nationwide tour of Ireland. Dublin’s Evening Press described them as a joke band, with very capable musicians but the joke was wearing thin.
