Lorraine, Peter & Keith were brothers & sister, their father (Frankie McDonald) was also a musician, he played with the Joe Dolan & The Drifters for 19 years. In the early part of their career Frankie McDonald played with Route 101. This included a concert in Athlone, called “The Beat on the Street”. Attracting a crowd of over 4,500 people. The concert was sponsored by RTE & organised by Ian Wilson.

In 1989 Keith McDonald came second in the RTE talent competition “Screen Test”. At this time I don’t know if this was as a solo artist or with Route 101.

In 1988 Route 101 toured Ireland as the support band to Joe Dolan.

Cannie Bruton was formerly with Mullingar band Different World.
