Asylum played mainly in the Cork & West of Ireland area, usually as the support band. Elvera Butler used them as the house band at the Downtown Kampus in the early days of her time there. Asylum also supported U2 a couple of times in 1978. Probably the high point of their career was supporting John Ottway at the Kampus in October 1978.
