04/02/1980 Country Club, Cork, Ireland. Come Out To Play Tour January to March 1980.

This group of concerts includes dates that were not part of the “Come Out To Play Tour”. I have included them just to group things together. This tour remained hidden for many years, I only uncovered it on a trip to the national Library in Dublin., in the late 90’s. Only three of the dates were known. The National Stadium, Garden of Eden & Downtown Kampus concerts. When this tour was first listed in “Hot Press” it had the title of “Tour De France”.

I have spoken to Elvera Butler, who booked all U2’s gigs in Cork and the surrounding area. She confirms this concert did not take place. U2 did a photo shoot at the hotel on this date, but did not play a concert.
