Missing Digits were formed by Noddy McMell and Mark Dorsley, their first live gig was 05/12/1986 at the Emyvale Inn, Monaghan.

Their influences were Robert Cray, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, Muddy Walters & Little Walter.

Missing Digits recorded a 4 track demo tape Called Anchor Bar Blues at the Atic studio in Monaghan in June 1989, the 4 tracks are Toe Tapping Blues, Talk To Me, No More, Dirty Woman. They also recorded a track “No More” on the Something New …… Something Blue sampler LP on Eclipse Records. There are reports in the local press that they were recording a single for Mega Records “She’s Got It” & “Dirty Woman”.

Terri Hooley of Good Vibrations records was a fan of Missing Digits and invited them to play the Lime Light club in Belfast.
