Although on the adverts U2 are listed for this gig, they were replaced at the last minute by London band The Addix’s, a band featuring the late Kirsty MacColl on backing vocals. At this time it’s not known why U2 were replaced.
Advertising are on a short 10 tour of Ireland, the two nights at McGonagle’s are their only Dublin dates.
