Debut Demo Tape
Three well executed songs make up this debut from a five piece who play “West Coast Rock” as they call it. They have their genre well in hand, missing few tricks. In general, though, the rhythm section needs to sharpen it’s timing and sense of attack. The songs also, although competently composed, display a rather standard approach – or is it simply dated?
The question – is the world ready for more West Coast Rock must faced by AM Freeway. The Lookalikes play music not unlike this band, and could well recount a bitter tale of the indifference of the big world beyond our shores. However, we must assume that AM Freeway have already answered the question, and proceed undaunted. Fairplay to them – their music shows signs of being more than commercial, especially if they listen to the undaunted. Fairplay to them – their music shows their music shows signs of being more than commercial, especially if they listen to the quirkier and more cynical exponents of their brand of music.
