At this time I don’t know if this was the original line for the band. The line up above is from ’82. In September ’82 there is an advert by the band for a new guitarist. I don’t know who filled that roll at this time.
Steeler at Tramore Youth Club
Steeler formed early in 1981 playing the local pubs and dance halls and Tramore Youth Club. There is a report of one of their concerts at the Tramore youth club. It claims the gig was a good one and the girls loved the band. They would soon move on to bigger venues in the larger towns in the south west of Ireland. Then as headliners in places like the Anchor Bar.
The Showboat
Steeler’s last concert was as the support band for Sweet Savage from Belfast at the Showboat in Waterford. After this show they dropped the name Steeler and became Dream Deceiver.
