Originally a quartet, they expanded to a quintet with the addition of Pat Marry on flute. The bands set consisted of 90% original material, is a kaleidoscope of sound with influences of jazz, rock, pop, and new wave music. After a year or so giging in the Meath area, the branch out with gigs in Dundalk, Drogheda and Dublin
“Bullets In China”, “Splitting The Stones”, “No Time” and “Simon”, these songs were their first demo. All were uptempo crowd favorites.
Recorded at least two demo tapes.
Club Trivoli
In 1985 a new club opened in Dundalk called Club Trivoli. It’s opening night is a 4 band line up, Eat The Evidence from Navan and three local bands, Meta 4, Temple Rouge and Painted Veil. The concert was film and recorded by students on the communications course at the N.I.H.E. Dublin. (If you have a copy please get in touch).

The Russell Hotel held a Band Aid concert featuring The No Name Band, Eat The Evidence & Qu’est Ce Que C’est.
The Dan Short Centre, Navan held a charity concert raising £1,400 for a young girl with a rare form of leukmenia. taking part are The No Name Band, Eat The Evidence, Blue In The Face, Devilish Charm, Dresden Paul, Over The Edge, Suspicous People, and The Art Of Pulling.
