Former Cargo Cult vocalist Mars Ketting would some times play with Max Von Rap, although he was never a full time member of the band.

Stout Records

Max Von Rap were the first band signed to Cork Record label Stout Records, owned and run by Dennis Herlihy. They released one single “Wish I Had A Kawasaki”.

Five Live Kicks

They headlined the Five Live Kicks concert at Sir Henry’s, also playing were Cargo Cult, Belson, Touch Response & Common Market.

CND Peace Concerts

The also took part in the “Peace In The Park” CND concert in 1984 & 1985. Some of the other bands on the bill were ’84 Cargo Cult, Belsen, Ground Zero, , Ian Richards and the Soulmakers, Cold Sweat & Playroom. In 1985 they were Freddie White, The Lee Tremblers, Belsen, Shimpu Zig Zag, Cypress Mine, Stargazers.

H.O.P.E. Charity Concerts

They also headlined the Sir Henry’s H.O.P.E. charity concert, Belsen, Burning Mbers, Hidden Fears &Noel Redding.

Own Material

Their set was 100% original material, said to be sophisticated dance music. Some of their concerts contained a complete brass section with up to 10 on stage.
