Yeah! Yeah!

Yeah! Yeah! from; Howth Active; 1980 – 1983
Style; Pop
Line Up;
Vocals; Neil McCormick
Guitar; Ivan McCormick
Bass; Declan Peat
Drums; Leo Regan

By the time that Yeah! Yeah! got together Neil was also working for Hot Press.
Formed after the breakup of the Modulators in 1980. Neil & Ivan had also been in Frankie Corpse & the Undertakers.
It’s believed that Yeah! Yeah! were offered a recording deal with U2’s forth coming record company Mother Records. The McCormick brothers turned this down as they did not want to wait until U2’s own recording and touring commitments had been completed.
Yeah! Yeah! have been together for a year, but only began playing live in October 1981 due too two of the band being hurt in a car crash, the drummer broke his hip & lead singer cut his forehead. Some of the support acts the band used included Doodle a comedian and a country trio called the Hickson Sisters. During December 1980 Yeah! Yeah!  & the Myster Men had a Thursday residency at McGonagles, this was before the car crash. During November 1981, Yeah! Yeah! had a Tuesday night residency at the Magnet Bar. Sometime during 1981 the band recorded a video for their song Is That You?. I believe the band may have played some dates in England a France during 1982.
