Bogey Boys
During the summer of ’82 July/August the band toured Ireland with Bogey Boys. This lead to them getting gigs in Dublin, including a residency at the Sportsmans Inn. The also secured a support slot with British touring band The Bureau.
Decisions Decisions made at least two demo tapes. The first was At the Club & Long Time. The second was Doesn’t Really Matter”. This was due to be the next single. but the band & SRS did not have enough funds to produce it. WEA Ireland were interested in the song by were working on the second Moving Hearts album at the time. The same applied to Scoff Records working on the Rhythm Kings album.
The bands original gigs in ’79 featured a 100% original set. By ’82 the band were playing originals and covers by Bowie, Spandau Ballet & Stevie Wonder.
The original bass player (Johnny Stompanato) left the band after the tour with the Bogey Boys. Being a married man he could not afford to keep losing money.
Stan and Roger say they are influenced by Reggae & funk music.
The Rev joined the band in November 1982, the line up above is the late ’82 band.
