At the present time I’m not sure if this is a typo on the ticket or not. The ticket has a date of 23rd Jan. These concerts have been hard to nail down. As the Irish press of the time has conflicking dates and venues for this tour of Ireland.

The tickets had U2 playing the TV Club in Dublin. At some point the venue was moved to the S.F.X. as the TV Club was not big enough to hold the crowd. This lead to some fans turning up at the wrong venue on the night and then having to travel across town to get to the correct venue. Some Irish newspapers also have the venue listed as the Francis Xavier Hall for the Dublin concerts.

New Years Day had Styrofoam “snow” with a wind machine for snow effects and they popped a bottle of sparkling wine for “We wish you a merry Christmas”. Unlike the 2 previous 2 nights which were fairly full this was two thirds empty and they came on stage at 8pm to finish by 945pm as the buses stopped at 10pm on Christmas Eve….
