They recorded a 3 track demo in 1983 which was reviewed well in Hot Press. “A marvellous jungle of sound, the general warmth and lushness dotted with huge multicoloured hooks spring suddenly from the tribal beat. No obvious influences are perceptible. June and Pamela are sisters. Mark & Alan write the songs with the sisters adding the melodies. When playing live the band would would use tape machines video back drops and other props. Two of their best songs were “Pleasure Pressure” and “Famous Day”. They often played the Ivy Rooms with Pairs Underground. During February ’84 the band had a residency at Dublin’s Ivy Rooms. Up Do Bi also recorded a session for the Dave Fanning Rock show which recieved plenty of airplay at the time.
