This is a list of Artist A – Z ’76 – ’83. I’m trying to compile the most complete list of Irish artists playing the music scene in Ireland from 1976 – 1983. Do You Have Any Demo Tapes?
Do you still have any demo tapes? I’m interested in any recordings. Irish singles between ’76 – ’83. Did you record a Fanning Session? I need the details. Where possible I will include any recordings I have on this site. Many thanks to all those that supplied tapes so far. I have recordings by The Vipers, Ghostdance, Blaze X, The Fuze, Alcove, A Further Room, Revolver, The Departure, D C Nien, The Atrix, The Blades & more.
Your Local Scene?
I need information on bands from Cork, Drogheda, Galway, Silgo, Waterford, Dundalk, Kilkenny etc etc. The Dublin scene was well covered by Hot Press. If you can help fill in any gaps on your local scene, that would be a great help.
Irish Fanzines
I need scans of Fanzines, (Imprint, Too Late, and any zines from Cork, Waterford, Drogheda, Kilkenny, Sligo, Wexford, Dundalk etc etc.) They are a vital source of information. I would also like to display the front covers of fanzines on this site. I have all issues of Heat & Vox. Other than that everything else is welcome. The image on the left was supplied by Jude Carr. U2 Concerts 1976 to 1983
Did you attend any of U2’s shows between 1976 – 1983? Do you still have the ticket stub? Did you support U2? Did U2 support your band? Do you have any pictures, set lists or posters? I need information on U2’s gigs at Howth Community Centre and any shows they played as The Hype. Do you have details of a concert I don’t have listed?
