This is a complete list of known U2 concerts that took place in Ireland in 1979. These dates do not include the dates U2 played in London on the U2-3 tour. I have spent many hours trawling the Irish Newspaper Archive, The Dublin Library and talking to those that were there, too make this the most complete document of U2’s early career. U2 and The blades do a run of shows at the Baggot Inn, Dublin. Each week they swap who headlines, one week the Blades the next U2. Dave McCullough from “Sounds” magazine is in Dublin for this concert. He will do a feature on Dublin bands in a September issue of “Sounds”.
