U2 return home to Ireland after their short tour of the North East of America for some Christmas date. Funny enough U2 are now big enough to sell out the big ballroom venues in Ireland, like the Downtown Kampus, Bayhill Entertainment Centre and the Leisureland. The smallest venue they play is Dublin’s T.V. Club.

Blaze X were a punk band from Tuam, a couple of them would later be in the Saw Doctors. During 1980 they released a single “Some Hope/Rippy”. Some Hope was the single of the week on the Larry Grogan show. Although the “B” side Rippy was banded by RTE.
