The Muldoons were one of those bands that blew hot and cold. When they were good they were very good. But all too often they would take two or three minutes between songs to tune in again. losing any atmosphere in the hall. On one occasion the band blamed their fans for the lack of atmosphere at the gig.
By 1990 according to adverts in the local press they were the number 1 band in Omagh. The Muldoons often played at Sally O’Briens in Omagh.
The Muldoons entered the Carling/Hot Press Battle Of The Bands contest in 1991 held at Sir Henry’s in Cork. They were in Heat 5, winning that heat to make the grand final. My Little Fun House were the winner this year.

The competition is held at Sir Henry’s, in Cork over 5 weeks. With the winner each week going on to the final.
