Name changes

The Riff’s first gig was under the name Riff Raff, at the Hideout in Drogheda Easter Saturday ’79. After a few weeks they changed their name to Heavy Breathing, there was already a band in Swords called Riff Raff. Their name soon changed again and they finally settled on The Riff.
