Formed in late 1981, Digital Dance spent 5 months rehearsing, before playing their first gig as support to Neuro at Joey Mahers club. Digital write all their own material in a similar style to O.M.D. According to reports in the local Drogheda press the band put on a dazzling display with David Milne the star of the show. The bands bass player Paul Lennon was also chairman of the local Droghea Musical Society.
The band managed to secure a Saturday night residency at Joey Mahers as the support band. Playing with the likes of Auto Da Fe, Some Kind Of Wonderful, Freddie White & neuro. They also played at Dublin’s Ivy Rooms & Dundalk’s The Cellars.
