Originally a Duo called One On One, they changed their name to Thrid Parti when Jeremy joined the band. They recorded a two track demo tape as a duo. The tracks were “Dilemma’s” & “Just Goes To Show”. These tracks would also appear on their second demo, this time 5 tracks were recorded at Hyde Park Studio Mallusk. Liam Creagh of the Belfast Telegraph describes the tape as OMD in style but better all round quality.
He was so impressed with the tape he passed into Van Morrison.
The band don’t play any gigs preferring to wait until they get a record deal.
They recorded another 3 track tape at Cucumber Studio “Over The Top”, “Identity Crisis”, “Love In The Summer”. English Record companies EMI, Arista & Chrysalis showed interest in the band.
In October ’84 Jeremy left the band to go back to University. Russell and Brian carried on as a duo.
