Private Number and The Commotion released a split single on Hotwire Records in 1985. They also recorded their own 7″ single in 1986 The Rain Came In/ Your Love has Changed My Mind, this was never released and the band split shortly afterwards.
The Commotion have a demo tape reviewed in the Evening Herald by Tony O’Brian in Feb 1986. He states that Teresa Kenny has a great voice well suited to their 60’s style of music.

Poster for Danceline Club, Dublin. 3 band line for £2.50.
When the Commotions first started out Teresa Kenny was only 16 years old.
They also recorded a Fanning Session, two of the tracks were “Today” & “Your Love”.
One of their first gigs was at Dublin’s TV Club with The Golden Horde, Barracudas & The League.
In 1986 The Commotion took part in the Q102’s Battle of the Bands at the Ambassador Hotel in Dublin. In their heat they were up against Geoffrey’s First Affair, I don’t know if they won or not.
