National Federation of Youth Clubs
In March 1983 Alpha Squared teamed up with the National Federation of Youth Clubs to start a workshop that would teach teenagers (16 – 19) how to use drum machines and synthesizes. The workshop would travel the country for 10 weeks spending a weekend in each city. The venture is a great success. One group of teenagers get to record a demo tape at Dublin’s Litton Lane studio. The song called “Children of the snow” is played on RTE 1 radio. 3 Workshops are also set up in Sligo, Wexford & Offlay.
They don’t play any residencies. They write their all their own material & when they do play live they bring in session musician’s.
The band do not play many concerts, instead preferring to concentrate on working in the studio and recording the tracks they write.
