“My Nose” On Younglines
In 1979 Holy Orders performed their own compersion “My Nose” on RTE’s Youngline pop programme. The presentation of which did little justice to this very talented group – the powers that be at RTE dressed them up in false noses and weird costumes and the overall effect was a little disastrous, and did little to enhance the bands reputation.
Sir Henry’s
Playing mainly in the South West of Ireland, Holy Orders were at Sir Henry’s in Cork. Where the played support to the likes of Auto Da Fe, Alice In Wonderland & Porcyln Tears. They also played the town hall, Connolly’s Bar, The Leap & Stable Bar in Skibbereen,
Demo Tape
In 1984 a demo tape was recorded, I have no details other a newspaper quote “Shows promise, but fails to capitalise full on their “live” performance.
