The Dark would later become The Spies.
From Howth Co. Dublin The Dark list their influences as Dr Feelgood, The Kinks, B.B. King, The Doors & Bob Dylan. Their live set included “Peace Frog”, “Four In The Morning” & “Maggie McGill”.
in late 1979 the band recorded a 4 track demo which led to an appearance on RTE’s “Our Times”. In September/October they had a residency at the Summit Inn, Howth.
Joey Barry & Gerry Leonard would both later be in Above The Thunder Clouds. From 2002 to 2004 Gerry was in David Bowies band.
