Boy Tour Leg 1 UK & Europe, September 6th- 3rd December 1980, (57 concerts).

The U2 “Boy” Tour was the band’s first big concert tour. Launched to promote their debut album *Boy*, released in October 1980 in the UK and Ireland. It marked their first move onto the international stage and helped them start building a fanbase. That would grow rapidly in the years ahead. Many of the venues U2 played were small club/pubs with a capacity of 200/300. This was ideal for them too show their raw power. In small venues, were they could make a real connection with their fans. This leg of the tour included their first European shows, although they still hadn’t performed in Scotland or Wales.

This is a complete list of all known U2 concerts for the Boy Tour 1st leg. This includes U2’s first European gigs in Holland & France. The first date of the U.S.A. leg had to be canceled due commitments in the France.
